2015 is a very great, generous vintage that will reveal itself over the years.
The whites: highly expressive, on summer fruit, of great aromatic purity, balanced by remarkable freshness and fine richness on the palate.
The reds: intense, gleaming colour; wines full of energy revealing aromas of incomparable complexity, on ripe, fleshy red fruit. Silky, rounded tannins, the mark of complete ripeness, give them balance and elegance.
New wines: two additions complete the Mercurey red range.
Mercurey Les Carabys, a new parcel for the estate, a due-east vineyard over 60 years old on clay-limestone, which will give a wine of depth and power, built to keep.
Mercurey Les Chazeaux, a named plot the estate has farmed for over 30 years, now claimed on the label and offered in our range. A juicy, generous wine of deep colour, giving great pleasure in its first youth.
In 2015 the harvest ran from 29 August to 8 September.
